Mrs. Seigler and Ms. Brothers worked alongside each other when planning in-class activities for home economics courses.  In addition, Mrs. Seigler sponsored school organization called the New Homemakers of America (NHA) which was founded for black students in 16 states where schools were segregated by state law.  At recent MHS Teachers’ Luncheon, one discovered that Mrs. Seigler has a great sense of humor. Luncheon was about three hours long because photos were shared and stories were told.  When teachers were asked if they had other engagements to attend after luncheon, Mrs. Seigler said “I can give you thirty more minutes” with such seriousness.
